Cape Town Food Market

We have spent months scouring the Cape for the most exciting traders and products such as yummy cupcakes, summery salads, freshly baked breads, hot curries, sweet pancakes and much more!

Every Thursday and Saturday we bring together a variety of fine foods, drinks and people. You will experience an ancient way of shopping in a modern context at a high quality food market in Cape Town’s City Bowl.

The market is populated by a community of remarkable individuals, all of whom care deeply about the food and drink on offer. Our mission is to be a viable and sustainable, independent, quality food market, rooted in the local community.

Thunder City

Thunder City offers you a unique chance to fly in some of the most exciting, graceful and robust combat jets ever to see service. Thunder City operates the world’s only flying English Electric Lightnings, the famous cold war supersonic jet interceptor and the world’s only flying Bae Buccaneers, the famous low-level tactical nuclear-capable jet bomber. We also have the largest fleet of flying Hawker Hunter jets, the pride of the Royal Air Force and the most successful British fighter jet ever built.

These amazing jets are meticulously maintained by former air force engineers and always flown well within their performance limitations. Even so we do not take safety for granted. Therefore you will be trained to safely use the aircraft’s emergency systems such as the ejection seat, emergency oxygen etc.

Meerlust Wine Farm

Long recognized for producing world-class wines, Meerlust Estate has been the pride of the Myburgh family since 1756. Today, the traditional dedication to the art of winemaking continues under the guidance of Hannes Myburgh, eighth generation custodian of this seventeen-century national monument. A tour of the estate reveals its historic manor house, classic wine cellar, rose gardens, family cemetery, dovecote and bird sanctuary.
